It was on 18-12-05 that 12 members went to mahaboobnagar for the camp conducted by NATCO for calipers .On the second day afternoon calipers were given to the client. In TTDC at Mahaboobnagar there was a three day training on how to use the calipers after which the client came back to his village. For the first one month the client was feeling good using calipers but slowly blisters started to form on the foot and the pain was severe because of which the client stopped using the calipers. The social worker who referred two of the clients to BIRRDS hospital earlier and for whom the calipers was fitted found that they lost sensation in their foot after the blisters started forming and when the social worker called the doctor in Tirupati for which he told to remove the calipers after which both those clients got back their sensation. Keeping this in mind the social worker did not force the client to use the calipers. In the words of the client because of he joining in the group he has acquired the leadership qualities and also got rid of introvert behavior, There is more respect for him now in the village and he is having a sense of satisfaction because he is working for those who are required a helping hand so that it will enable them to attain greater heights in their life.
